Oooooh!!!

When I went to add an AGameAWeek Gold function to my Archive's Admin page, I purposely decided not to add any sort of "Look Ahead" function.
I knew it'd be as much fun for me, as it is for you, to find out what today's AGameAWeek Gold is!
Just a week in, and I'm finding myself waking up in the morning just to click to my admin page, to see if we've got a good game today!!

Today's is awesome!

2005 - Invisible Munky

I LOVE this game!

I first started this game thinking I could make a nice Platdude engine. The plan was, make a game that works using nice physics, and line-based worlds, then fill it all in with textures, later.
..
That plan didn't happen!
As I played with the simple test engine, it grew on me. I loved the silly antics of the simple little Arrow, and having simplistic vector landscapes was awesome!

I'm not sure exactly when I came up with turning the invisible character into a Space Monkey, but I had the "eek" and "ook" samples handy, so it wasn't exactly the hardest choice in the world.

HoboBen (Hen?!) created a fantastic batch of levels for this game, too, and made it all the better.
A great little game, as long as you've got a decent monitor.. otherwise it's VERY blurry!!
