Developments


It's all very well having over 100 levels designed by folk on the net, but they're completely useless if I can't get the actual game done in time!!

The level loader is working wonderfully well, placing a variety of cogs into the level, then stripping away most of them to leave the main working cog, and the target cogs.
But that was as much as I'd coded, up until yesterday!
Yesterday I added a simple looking GUI, got keyboard controls working, and then most of the mouse/touchscreen controls working, too.
There's still oodles of "nice" to add to the game, as well as everything audio-based, but for the most part the game bits are now working nicely.

Next up, I need to design a menu that'll hold all of this.
I'm currently thinking of redoing something like the PlatCross menu system, as that seemed to work reasonably well.

If you'd like to design a level or two, or three, or more, you can do that here.
Level Designer
Draw a silly picture, add your name in the input box, then submit.
Any "workable" levels will be automagically added into the game.

Note : The editor will vanish at some point on Sunday, when I'm preparing to compile the final game, so you've not got too long!

Platdude's house is infested.
He's not entirely sure what these little creepy buggers are, but he's coming at them with all he's got.

Misc..

The cogs are in place.
The game's now quite steady.
But I've still lots to do,
before it is ready.
