Getting sidetracked by trees and blocks..

A few days ago, as part of the abandoned "Town RPG" thing, I created a little randomiser to generate random tree sprites.
It seemed a waste to completely throw it away, so instead I retooled the thing, and created a random tree sprite generator.



You can find it over at Socoder.net.
I haven't put any .ini settings into it, so you can only tweak the settings if you open the sourcecode using BlitzMax, but otherwise the bog standard .exe will generate a sheet full of 64x64 trees for you.

Lovely!

And as if that wasn't enough, I also spent a good number of hours working with this little guy.

You might remember him from a certain series of games. (ooh, look, the tall screenshot breaks my archive.. bugger!!)

I'm trying my hardest to create some kind of level generator for that type of game, as I think it's probably about time that I recreated the thing, but used my own levels instead of pillaging levels from the internet.

Meanwhile.. Back to normal AGameAWeek duties, I've got most of this week's game running fine, but today will be spent ironing out the kinks, and trying to come up with an interesting art style for the game.

*phew*
