A test.
Over on SoCoder, Rockford suggested I attempt to do some kind of music creation "How to" video, of sorts.

I'm considering options for some sort of series of these. My current plan is to perhaps use my iPhone to record vocal-audio, so I can commentate as I create.
I'm not sure how well that'll work, though. It might not sound very clear at all!
But thoughts are bubbling, and you may, in future, see more of the above style of video.

Developments


Meanwhile, I got Gamma T's tilemap working properly. Turned out all my tile collisions were right, but my "simple" screen to grid co-ordinates were what was breaking it.
With that finally fixed, I then added AI into the mix, and the whole thing broke even more than it was, before.
Sure, the tiles are colliding normally, but now the [REDACTED] are getting stuck in the [REDACTED] and the AI's having a ludicrously hard time finding it's way around.
D'oh!

By about 10:30pm, I'd just about managed to get most of the AI working. The [REDACTED] are still very random, but that doesn't seem to hurt the gameplay at all, and the AI seems to be playing fairly well, and scoring some nice points.

So, all is good. Time to move on to the next game!
