Developments

Things are looking great for this week's game.
The balance is now just-right, and I'm getting more or less similar scores on each play-through, which is usually my sign that I've done a decent job at making the thing play at the same level each time.

-=-=-

The Easy, Normal, Hard changes are in. It's not immediately obvious what the differences are, but they're enough to make your Hard scores a lot less than your Easy ones

I still haven't chosen a name for the thing, but hopefully I can come up with something, today. Trying to find a game title with Dungeon, Monsters, Quest, etc, all end up being taken by 100,000 other games.
If the game ends up with a really cheesy title, assume I gave up trying!

New Framework

So, the new framework's taken a bit of a hit, when trying to get it working with iOS, in that iOS expects a very specific methodology in its c++ files.
Thankfully I hadn't written a lot of the framework.
Most of the issues I've dealt with over the past week have been trying to get the different compilers up and running, so a rewrite won't be causing too many issues.
It seems I need to rethink the way I'm writing the framework, to allow for Classes and Types and the like. (Eeeuw.. So Un-Basic-like!)
But the rewrite shouldn't end up causing further Compiler issues, and should hopefully be a smooth process!

Today I'll need to strip it back, and rework it in a way that works best with iOS.
I figure I'll probably be best working on that as the primary, then stepping back for the Windows/HTML/Android editions once that's working.
XCode seems to be exceptionally strict about things, so much like I was using Microsoft EDGE when rebuilding SoCoder and AGameAWeek, I'll be using XCode as "The Whingy Tester".

I've found that Microsoft EDGE, while still not quite 100% perfect at rendering webpages, does at least seem very good at pointing out every little imperfection in your page. It's still shit, it's just good at complaining, as it goes!

So, XCode will be the focus over the next couple of days.
I'm hopeful that once things are running on there, they're going to be better elsewhere, too.
*fingers crossed*
