Yesterday I got an email with an idea for a game.
A "simple" card game that could work fairly well.

I'm not 100% convinced that this will be the end style of the face cards, and still have a boatload of drawing to come, but ..
For now, at least..
The PlatKing of Diamonds!

A very Platdude styled set of cards are ready to be used, but there's no game for them to go into, yet.
Today will be about starting a new framework to cope with them.

Taking a significant chunk of the Foldapuz/Unfolded, and JNKsg code as the basis, I've managed to get a fairly decent drawing engine up and running.
Text, Ovals, Rects, Lines, Plot, and the all important DrawImg are all in, and functioning as expected, albeit without any recolouring for DrawImg. (Since I'm using basic Javascript and HTML5, I'm forfeitting the ability to recolour my sprites)

Over the next few days, I'll be doing various tests and things, as I try to determine the best methodology for the games.
First up, Setting a grid size based upon a couple of values.

I've added JNKsg's Multi-Loader functionality into Shoebox.

Just to be extra sure that it'd work in the slightest, I added a quick test loader to Shoebox for the WordList functionality.

With any luck, you should now be able to drag the cards around between columns, but with a few issues..

I started drawing some little icons last night, in as simple a method as I could find.

I think that, for the most part, the Spider Solitaire is now roughly ready to go, but the Framework is barely finished at all!

As far as I've been able to stress-test, the save/load functionality of the new Shoebox framework should now function correctly!

I've added semi-persistent score handling to the Shoebox Framework, along with plenty of space to add a decent selection of scores and things into the mix.

Over the course of a couple of weeks, in February 2019, I began the creation of a small collection of JavaScript games.
My aim is to, over the next few weeks/months, to slowly expand the number of games included in the pack, to create a lovely little collection of card games, word games, board games and more, all of which are playable within your browser.

Since managing to completely fudge the site up, last night, I then spent a few hours whittling away at Game #2.

Spent the past couple of hours rewriting the audio code, so it loads the sounds after first-mouse/touch, instead of all happening right off the bat.

Strings is more or less functional, although it's missing different playmodes, and the scores aren't kept, but otherwise it's working!

In the upper-right of the Shoebox menu, once you've selected a game, you should now find a small "Rules" icon.

Today's my birthday, so not much is planned for my day!

Had another "This game isn't possible" email, this morning, about the blocking of the Draw Pile in Spider Solitaire.
On the one hand, I guess I need to add a little more ingame, onscreen instructional stuff.
On the other hand.. People just want Klondike, don't they!!!

What should've been doable within a few short hours, ended up taking most of the day.
