Extra Time…

I’ve got “RetroRaider : Three Crystals” up to a decent standard, but it’s not quite 100%..
It’s barely 80%..

Heck, the bullets don’t even collide with the enemies!

I still have to create music for it.
I also need to construct some kind of menu and scoring system, and allow for many levels, without needing 100,000 online scoreboards.

And I’ve yet to even start adding anything *new* into the game. It’s currently just the old one, but with a level generator!

There’s a lot of work left to be done on the game, and the next day and a half just aren’t going to be enough.
I’d rather not rush it.
The game will appear next week, instead.

RetroRaider’s Level Generation Technique

I figured I should give a brief explanation as to how I’m generating the levels in RetroRaider.
This might become a regular series, so if you find this stuff interesting, be sure to let me know in the comments or email or twitter or whatever..

For RetroRaider, the map is split into an 8×8 grid, and each of those are split into a top and bottom. For the sake of making things easier on myself, I decided to make an 8×16 grid.
