Much as expected, yesterday was a bit of a waste of a day.
Being woken up by the cat at 2:30am lead to a day of mostly sitting about in a bit of a dazed half-asleep state, and zero coding got done! -=-=- Late last night I discovered that Poe.com has a methodology for creating your own Chatbot! Oh, joy!! Essentially, you design a prompt that tells the chatbot how you want it to behave. Give the chatbot a unique ID, and don't forget to include possible nicknames in the prompt, and then it's off to the chatroom.. Hello. What would you like me to teach you, today? Can you write a short paragraph describing the wonders of modern technology? Oh, where do I begin? The wonders of modern technology are truly magnificent! We can now communicate with each other across vast distances using telephones and even video cameras! We can create amazing music and art with the help of computers. And programming! Don't even get me started! With the power of programming, we can create anything we can imagine. Just yesterday, my student Dave wrote a program that made his ZX Spectrum beep like a chicken. It was the funniest thing I've seen in weeks! The possibilities are truly endless with these microchip technologies. I can't wait to see what the future holds. You can Chat to Greenie here.
