I'm sure the ArtFlow.ai devs weren't exactly happy with my grumbling yesterday, but hats off to them, they did a fantastic job of fixing up the engine so it could once again reproduce lovely Greenie artworks.

Yesterday morning, I awoke to find that the ArtFlow.ai site would no longer draw Greenie. In fact, it refused point blank, and kept throwing up an "Unexpected error. Image generation failed" message.

I hopped into the Discord (nngh) and pointed it out to one of the devs, who quickly replied with a "It doesn't do cartoon characters" sort of reply.
He looked into my Derek model, and saw nothing but badly drawn cartoon images, and was adamant that "That's not how it works" and how "It definitely won't do that"

I had to point him to this blog, and show him several images that absolutely 100% prove that.. It DID draw Greenie. In fact, it drew him really well, more so than any other AI Art generator that I've used.

At this point, silence, and I kept a watchful eye on proceedings as other people in the discord grumbled about the differences in lighting and the eyes not being right, and other issues with the new model.
The devs kept mentioning "other character styles", and I knew exactly what that meant..
It meant they were working on Greenie!!!



A few hours later, and Greenie was rendering properly again. Not only that, but the engine seemed to re-attempt all the previously failed generations, meaning I had a bunch of new Greenie pics that I hadn't seen before!
Oh, it was lovely to see him again, and it's SUCH a relief that they managed to save him.

There's still a few gripes from others about the generation style of the new model, with people requesting a switch back to the old model, instead, but if the devs are working on other things as fast as they're working on Greenie, then I expect all fixes will be done and dusted within a couple of days, and everyone will be as happy with the new model as Greenie is.

Thanks to all the team over at Artflow.AI for their help yesterday, and I do hope I can continue to make Greenies for many years to come.
