On Wednesday I made a lovely game with a marble that rolled down a track.
Yesterday, everything changed.

Switching from directional controls to turn based controls, and converting the marble into a little racing spaceship sort of thing, turned the entire game into a mini 2D Wipeout style racer.

I then struggled to put other racers back into the game, but no matter how much I wish GotoJSE was fast enough to scan 100's of track pieces against 4 or 5 racers, the engine just can't quite cope with doing all the looping.
And it's a shame, because that would've been nice.

Still, as it stands, it's a half-decent race game.
I've got the scoring working in a nice enough way, being based on both how fast you complete the track, but also the damage you take along the way by smashing against the edge of the track.



Visually, the game looks almost identical to how it did yesterday, so today I'll spend some time working on that element.
It is indeed quite fun to play, and I hope you enjoy it when I release it.. Maybe later today!?
