Developments

And so ends our journey of creation.

or, rather, HOPEFULLY ends the journey! We'll find out in about a week, whether I managed to click all the settings in an accurate manner.
With any luck, I won't end up with the horror that is the Cardagain-Issue, again!

Actually, we should know in just a few days, depending on how well Invisible Munky does or doesn't pass through Apple Review. But I can't see anything too terrible happening.. Right!?
*shrugs*

Anyway, there it is.
Yesterday I spent a good few hours entering the same data over and over and over and over and over and over again, into those stupid little boxes, which make up the GameCenter Achievement List.
So tiring doing that stuff.
006

There are 22 badges to earn in the original release. I'll probably add more later, but for now I'm just going to sit back, relax, and play through the entire game from scratch, to be sure there's nothing alarmingly dumb that I've done halfway through!

Be Prepared : The Spikes are Coming!!
..

Eventually .. Once Apple allow/not it through review..

*waiting..*

Daily Doodle : The Driver

Platdude's driving a different train, this time. It was red, last time!!

Mailbag

Today's mail comes from "FeeFieFoeFum". I think, perhaps, that might be a made up name!!

Why so much dislike for spikes? What did they ever do to you?!

FeeFieFoeFum

They are very sharp, due to the ludicrously pointy corners on all their giant oversized pixels.
Bloomin' things could take your eye out!

"Spike Dislike" is, of course, from the world of December 2010's Platdude's Retro Advent Collection, where I took the previous Retro Collection's sprites (from the DS Retro Collection) and attempted to make a silly bunch of minigames out of them.
Each game had a stupidly rhyming name.. Ball Wall, Splodge Dodge, Wheee Ski, and so on.
As the collection grew, it became immediately apparent that the best of these games was the extreme spike dodger, Spike Dislike.
In January 2011 I bulked the game up a bit, and by February, I'd uploaded and released an iPhone edition, which once again proved to be nicely popular.
The game's continued to have a somewhat niche audience, but has most definitely found it's home on iOS, where it tends to get the most attention.

By contrast, the OUYA edition is nowhere NEAR as popular as the iOS one, settling about halfway down my OUYA List.

If you'd like to stuff my mailbag, you can do so right here, at https://bit.ly/AGAW_Mail. Send comments, questions, game ideas, thoughts and more, and they'll probably turn up here, eventually.
