Developments


Yesterday morning, I awoke with an idea in my head..

.. and mostly managed to pull it off!

I've since managed to repair the flickering, as well as a few other nips and tucks.
The problem, however, is that the engine is grossly overwhelming.
Hundreds of lines of complicated maths, and thousands of repetitive loops, just for the semi-chequered ground. Then you've got the ground's gradient as well as the Z-buffered, scaled, tree sprites.
There's WAY too much going on, and my poor little laptop's fan is going on overdrive.

Which is a shame, because it's a really nice effect.

This "project" will be kept on hold until I can find a nice way to make it run a little less intensively.
