Developments

Spurred on by OtakuPunk, I decided to try using my old unused iPod Touch to do a Timelapse of the lovely midnight starry sky.
Well, the British sky isn't a lovely starry wondrous joy.
It's dull, dark, cloudy and pathetic!

This was my second test. The first test being mostly the same, except that the second test included a giant USB-Lightning cable trailing halfway across my bedroom so that the device stayed charged whilst recording.

Last night I set it up, and hit the record button before going to bed.
I had, of course, incorrectly assumed that the iPod would intelligently readjust the camera's brightness as the darkness of the night approached.
.. But no. It doesn't.
Once you hit record, it apparently locks down the settings and sticks to them.
Which is a bit of a pain in the arse.

Basically, I awoke to find a 23 second timelapse video which consists of about 5 seconds of clouds, then pitch black, followed by another 5 seconds of clouds!
Hey ho.. Lesson learned.
Tonight I'll try again. I'll also see if I can get it to focus on the sky, rather than the window!

You can see the failure here, but it's not much to see!

You can also watch OtakuPunk's much more professional looking (and infinitely less cloudy!) recent videos here and here.
Good stuff!

..
As for coding, I started on a game, spent a good number of hours working on it, then tried to add a "neat" effect.
The "neat" effect should've been easy, but ended up taking several more hours, was completely broken, and ultimately got stripped out completely.

All in all, yesterday was a complete waste of a day!!

Daily Doodle : A Tight Fit

Platdude's not sure if this was the best way to go.
Maybe he's getting too old for all this squeezing about.

Misc..

British Weather.
Clouds and Rain.
And hail and snow.
Then rain again.
