Too tired.. Instead, I've been working on Sheep Goes Left DS, which is proving 17,000,000,000% more popular than it's iOS rival. Quite why, I don't know, but the fact that it's being mentioned quite a bit is a good sign.

Over the years, I've settled into somewhat of a set of "Bad" habits. I clump everything into unnamed arrays, with unnamed numerical references for everything. I reuse arrays for anything from enemy locations, collectables, particles and anything else. If you open up my PlayMyCode games (click the edit button!) you'll see my habits. They're everywhere, and they "EVIL!!!" I am an oldskool coder. This is how I code..

I wrote tonight's Socoder Newsletter earlier today, so that I didn't have to do it tonight. The Plan? Get home, head to the Mac, Code some Daisy Chains.. The Reality? Get home, head to the Mac, answer emails, post tweet replies, forums stuffs, and then my phone started yelling at me because I haven't posted today's blog yet. FFS!! Spent some time today doing a bunch of little tweaky things. First off, late last night, I started on reformatting SpikeDislike's GameCenter code, to make it a bit more universal, and easy to plop into other games. Took about an hour to get everything working nicely, integrated into Daisy Chains, and get the highscores up and running. woot!

Yesterday I suggested that Adverts were evil. If an advert pops up in my game, I tend to get a bit pissed off about it. Today, my whole game is an advert. But it's done in a "Well at least you can play the damn thing, and it's not just sitting shoved into your face while it drains your battery.." way.

Totally drained, today. Just about managed to post a few random DaisyChain based posts/emails, and that's about it. Out of all of 'em, I'm hoping the <a href="https://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=20869.0">TIGSource</a> one prods interest a little, but.. .. I dunno.. Almost a day later, only 25 views, and 0 replies.. .. It's not looking good. *Jay grabs the defibs and cranks up the charge*

Solutions are everywhere! There are springy splodgy sticky blobs you can slap on the screen, there's big fullsized controller connectors to wrap the phone in, and there's even wifi touchscreen iPod -> iPad controller things, too. Plenty to choose from...

(Apologies, it's a bit "half-asleep/randomly ranty/jumping through topics/freeflow" today!!) As an iDev guy, I get 50 codes per Update for all my games. I can hand these out to reviewers or folk I know. Handy. So, off they go, sent out, willy nilly, to all the reviewers/people I can find, and see where it takes me.
