The Trickiest Testcard
Blog
22nd December 2020
Testcard "Diamond" (for lack of a better name) is now part of the generator.
-=-=- Oh, boy, was that a tricky one to do. All those angles, with pointy bits and corners to fend off, in different shades of grey, and more! There's an alarming amount of text, requiring additional input boxes in the menu system, which had to be added just for this testcard. It's also quite cramped, once it's all finished, too. .. Not surprising given all the bits I had to add to the generator just to make it all work. But it does, and Testcard Diamond is now live in the generator. Meanwhile...I'm now using a few less BlitzMax scripts in my daily doings. The Daily Pixelart splitter/renderer tool is now running through php, as is the sprite sheet transparency/padding script, and the newsletter converter. A couple of days ago, I also took the time to write a script for Wav to MP3 converting, which makes use of both the Lame Encoder for converting and tagging the mp3s, and also FFmpeg to generate little waveform videos for possible future usage, instead of me constantly making nothing more than a plain screengrab of Korg Gadget. I'm now wondering what other little tools I often use, but nothing immediate is springing to mind. .. I'm almost certain I've forgotten something!! Views 124, Upvotes 26
