Spent a good number of hours with the Amiga, last night.

POWER ON!!!

And it did.
*phew*
I'll be honest, I was slightly worried there for a moment, but eventually realised I'd forgot to switch the Scart toggle box thing to the right input.
After that, it was smooooooth sailing.
... .. .... Except the Mouse didn't work.
Bugger.

My old USB to Amiga-Mouse convertor doesn't like the new mouse. It only works with PS2 compatible mouses.
Grr..
On the AmigaKit site, they sell a newer model which promises to be more compatible with newer mouses.. So, um.. £23.99 was added to the basket.
On top of that, some new rubber feet for the Amiga, a Mouse mat, and a Compact Flash card.
Hopefully all of that will end up being used... Though I'm not sure the A600 can handle the 4Gb of the Compact Flash with it's low-end Kickstart rom. I might end up having to upgrade that, and if that's the case then I'll be in the position of having to decide if it's worth continually expanding it, or just give up the ghost and opt for one of those new A500Mini things.

.. It'd be a shame though.

So, yeah, those should all arrive in a few days. (hopefully!)
In the meantime, today the old chest of drawers should be being picked up, and after that it's on to organising the final few temporary boxes that are still in the spare bedroom.

It's getting nearer to the finish line, though.
