Had one of those mild panic attacks, yesterday, when my bedroom window wouldn't close.

We opened it wide to help get rid of the fumes from the painted wooden shoerack, but when it came to closing the thing, it looked like the bloomin' hinge had come off, and the window no longer tightly fit snuggly into place.

Uhoh!!
Panic!
(In my head, this was suddenly a REALLY BAD THING!!)

Texted Uncle Jimmy and he suggested the two little catches at the sides, which bring the bracket out slightly.
.. but I'd already tried that!

Coming down from my slight panic state, though, I was thinking a bit clearer. "I'll try WD40.."
Sprayed it, gave it ten minutes, then tried fiddling the little catches some more, and they finally gave way, allowing the window to close properly.

*phew*

Panic over.

And it was a panic. For a good few minutes I couldn't think straight or anything.
I'm not sure why that might be. I don't *think* my head normally panics like that. I've never really noticed it freaking out so wildly.

Maybe it's all the tablets?
Maybe it's all the head surgery?
.. Maybe it's just old age.
Who knows.
