Little steps..

Currently having a weird quirk where the scrolling surface moves up a pixel when it's scrolled too far. It's not "that" noticeable.. .. but it's definitely there.
Hmm..

Next I need to figure out how to use Sprites. The sprite code that I thought would work ends up crashing the game, so.. um, that's not right!
There really is an awful lot of changes between this and Windows Blitz. Even the simplest of things like "WaitMouse" is now "MouseWait", leading to all manner of quirks.

Also, the editor's not great. There's no Ctrl+C/V here! Instead you have to highlight the code to copy, then move the cursor where you want the code to go, then RightAmiga+C to copy it, then RightAmiga+K to kill the original.
Very odd.
You also can't simply hit delete/backspace to remove an empty line of code. You have to RightAmiga+D "delete" the line!
How bizarre..

I'll definitely have to see about getting that "NewTed" up and running. Not sure if it edits any better, but hopefully it's a little easier to navigate.

It also doesn't help that the keyboard's a little offset slightly. The delete key is one key right of where it is on modern keyboards, meaning there are three keys between that and the 0, instead of the usual two.
This has caused an INSANE number of mistypes, as I'm hitting = instead of -, shoving backslashes all over the place instead of deleting things, and more.
It's somewhat unnerving just how much muscle-memory is locked in for those few keys.

Anyhoo, back to regular schedule.
Today I need to write the newsletter, do an ALChoon, etc, before starting a SmileBASIC game.
Could really do with a week off, but I know I'd just spend it struggling with the Amiga some more, and not actually relaxing!
