I've now got the engine up to a decent workable status. The balls and the chain are colliding as well as they could, given the limits of GotoJSE's for-loop slowdown.

The problem at this point is trying to decide how best to make the game .. a game!
Currently the chain can be dragged about and the marbles "bopped" around the place, but that's as far as the game's getting.
It's nice to play about with, but there's little or no aim to the thing, right now.

I'm currently thinking of adding baddies in, and maybe squishing them with the balls, but not letting the baddies touch the chain... That might work.
Feels like a bit of a cop-out, though, if I'm honest.

I'll keep trying to figure it out.

Meanwhile..



So far I've made two additional themes for SpikeDislike, ready for the Advent.
But two isn't anywhere near enough!
I need to find the best way to create these things. Trying to do it on a giant spritesheet isn't exactly an easy job, but also using a sliced set of tiles isn't exactly optimal either, since the balls/spike are one size, but the background layers are another size and shape entirely.
It'd be nice to have a spritesheet editor that could cope with those easily..
