I've an ALChoon to finish, today.
It doesn't have lyrics yet, and if I'm honest, it probably won't have any once it's finished, either. I also have a Newsletter to write, and a couple of other side-projects that need some attention. Good grief, what a start to the month! -=-=- GotoJSE got a couple of minor tweaks yesterday. DegToRad and RadToDeg functions now function, the #CONST command can now be written mid-line, though the parser simply tackles this by sticking a new-line before #CONST, because that seemed the laziest way to accomplish it! Additionally, I've added a small dot as a default Symbol 0, so that when you use Starfield or ThrowParticle without having defined any Symbols, they still actually function. I could really do with adding alpha'ing to the Starfield, but given that it also rotates, the combination of Rotate and Alpha together leads to some curious slowdown on certain Browser/System combos. Speaking of which, Firefox on MacOS currently seems to be REALLY slow at drawing onto the Symbol Spritesheet. This usually takes place right at the start of running a project, so it's not "too" much of an issue. It does at the very least have a "Loading ..." onscreen whilst it does it. Usually it'll take no more than a second, or maybe two if you have a lot of symbols defined. Futrino Emissions is a great example of this, and it's staggering how much longer it takes to render the spritesheet. On Safari it'll take about a second or so to create the 27 Sprites. On Firefox... View on YouTube Hmm.. That's not right. Today I need to look into why that might be happening, and might ultimate give the whole Symbol method a slight overhaul. Who knows!?
