Zelda'ing Away
Blog
26th May 2023
Two weeks since the release of Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom on Switch.
I've now hit the 50+ hour mark, which is rather alarming, because I've barely accomplished anything at all! -=-=- The land/sky maps are complete, but the underground is very very empty as far as my mapping goes! Gets super hard, down there, at times. As far as the main "dungeons" go, I got as far as the boss battle on my first one, and the enemy flew up, down and all around me, causing me to have to swirl my camera all over the place, and motion sickness kicked in really really badly. I've had to leave that unfinished for now, and .. might get back to it later!?! Maybe. Thankfully you can do that. Use the transporter doohickey to get out of the battle, and come back to it later. I dunno, I never did actually finish off BOTW for exactly the same reason. Nausea levels are fairly workable during the main gameplay. I can leisurely turn the camera around at my own rate, and things aren't too bad. But boss battles.. Maaaan, they get swirly. As for the rest of the game, I'm slowly uncovering all the shrines once more. A lot more of them seem to be hidden away, this time around, so it's proving hard to target them. More a case of stumbling onto them as you aimlessly wander. But, yeah, that's been a ton of fun, and has certainly kept my mind busy for the past couple of weeks. I really do need to start making money in the game, though. I'm practically penniless! All my old "this recipe will sell for loads" farming methods appear to have been gimped in this version, so I'm having to find new ways to make oodles of cash. Hmm..
