The Pixelcubes tool got export functions yesterday, or at least, 3 export options..

-=-=-

STL will have to wait. Since it's monochrome only, there's not much point in it working until I've added all those lovely Extrusion-Depth options like on the old Pixelart-to-STL tool used to work.
But I spent a good number of hours adding Obj, only to have Blender whinge at me, endlessly, because it doesn't understand "vc r g b" settings in an Obj file.
It also doesn't work with "v x y z r g b" commands, either.
MacOS's Finder works no problem, and nice chunky 3D objects were rendered onscreen in full colour. But Blender?!
Nah..
"Proper" tools can't handle things like Colour!!!?! Crazy Jay to think that'd work that easily.

Instead, then, I had to add a second "Obj+Mtl" exporter, and that took bloomin' ages to get working right, but it eventually did, and \o/yeay\o/

Rendered in Blender!
Now I just need to learn how to actually use Blender, so I can easily point the camera at things, whilst using only a MacBook, so only having access to Trackpad and Keyboard.
.. Not an easy task, I can tell you!!

But, hey at least it's working, right!?!

I then added a PLY exporter, which is apparently a better way to import colours to tools, but I couldn't get the colours to work in either Blender, or Cheetah3D, so.. Guess that's a no-go, too.
Might as well leave it in there, though, eh? Something extra

Today, if I can muster the energy, I need to add "per colour extrusion" like the Pixelart to STL tool worked, as well as per-layer options like depth and scaling.
I think I'll also add the option to rotate a layer 90 degrees, so it can become a sky or floor inside the little pixelart diorama..

Good stuff!

I was reminded of this ALChoon, this morning, and it's been stuck in my head ever since.
