*shrugs*

We've sent off a bunch more paperwork and ID to the Solicitor, and apparently they're still trying to reconcile the "Shared Ownership" stuff, but as far as we can tell, everything now should be progressing well enough.

Again a case of "If the solicitor was in the vicinity, we could nip over and do all this", but instead everything's via snail-mail, and my AGameAWeek mentality is struggling with all the slowness of it all.
71 days!?! Geeze..

The stress, too, is really starting to hit home.
It seems that every "hit" of stress is causing my brain to shut down for minutes at a time. It's usually about 3 or 4 minutes before I can think clearly enough to think things through and find a solution.
Like the other day when the solicitor asked for ID, and my head went "Oh no, I don't have any!!!" and I went mentally blank for a good 5 minutes or so.

After that I realised there were bits and pieces. An Electoral Roll form came in the other day with my name and address on it. My recent NHS appointment has my name and address on it. Bank Statements, though I no longer get them through the mail, I can at the very least print them off.
But for those first few minutes I just could NOT think clearly, at all.
I had to give my head enough time to recover from the "hit" before it could fathom things through properly.

I'm not used to that. My AGameAWeek mindset is usually problem-solution-code-finished.
True, I occasionally leave things bubbling away in the pot of ideas, but I never feel the weight of an issue mentally knocking me out like that.

Stress... Man, it's bad..
Avoid.

Could be something brain-surgery related. I always have to keep that in mind, but I've an appointment next week, so that should be ok!
