Moving Jay : Day 125 : Wonky Green Blog
23rd October 2023
Things are looking fairly close, now.
We're sitting, waiting on tenterhooks, in the hope that we get some final-date news at some point today or tomorrow.

-=-=-

Of course, it's Monday so the Solicitor's having their day off, so we likely won't hear anything today. (grr)
There's still our Estate Agents who can hopefully keep their ear to the ground.
The Bungalow owner has apparently said his final goodbyes to the bungalow, and the bungalow's keys have been deposited at his Estate Agents, ready for us to pick them up once everything's been finalised.

But when's that happening?
That's the one outstanding piece of data, right now.
Everything else seems to be ready and raring to go.

.. We can only hope that this weekend's Storm Babet chaos. I don't think it's impacted the area (Geeze, I hope not!) but those windows sure aren't the most secure windows in the world!!

Meanwhile...

Spent most of yesterday faffing about with Cartoon Derek again.
I got Draw Things installed, and ran a few tests of SDXL on my MacBook. Much like before, though, DrawThings seemed to get gradually worse and worse at drawing things, the more I used it.
This is why I switched over to DiffusionBee a while ago.
There's just something awry with the way DrawThings seems to work on an 8Gb model that seems to be messing up the models along the way. Or at least, that's what I think's happening.

Either way, DiffusionBee seems to be able to keep up it's style, whilst DrawThings descends into..

..whatever the heck that's supposed to be.

It's supposed to be "A character on a deckchair at the beach"

This one's much better, though.

But from there it just got worse and worse and worse.
I blame myself for pushing all of that onto an 8Gb MacBook. It really shouldn't be trying to do things with SDXL!

So, back to DiffusionBee, SD1.5, and a much more compatible Greenie model.

"A beautiful wonderland full of lollipops and marshmallows, cartoon derek prancing through candyfloss fields, beautiful oil painting, pastels, bright, vibrant, happy, skipping, jolly," by #DiffusionBee

Yeah, that's more like it.
