So, last night "kinda" went well..

The night before, I hardly slept. Productivity was at an all time high, sleep at an all time low, but I at least got a good ALChoon done
Last night's plan, then, was obvious.

Early night. Make up for the lack of sleep the night before. Fix my body clock. Get it done.

And I did.
By about 10:30pm I was well and truly zonked out, and having a much deserved sleep.

....

Then 12:30am hit.
I woke up.
I was one of those "Oh no" moments, as a fully fledged game concept was rolling around in my head.

I lay there for about ten minutes or so with the concept buzzing around, formulating a plan to build the game. Step by step. Step one seemed like it'd only take about five minutes, and then I could get back to sleep.
Yeah, ok, I'll do step one.

... You can guess where this went.

By 4 in the morning, the game was pretty much done. Playable, functional, scoring in there and everything.
I mean, it's ready to go.
And it's good.

And I don't mean "Huh, that's a good game."
..

I mean ... "Oh... .. That's a good game..."

I showed the game to Mum this morning, and she agreed. "Oh... That's a good game.."
And it is a good game.

And it's a simple idea. It's a simple idea that I don't believe anyone's done before. I might be wrong, but playing it feels so much unlike anything I've played.
As far as simple-concepts go, this premise is right up there with SpikeDislike.
I think.
.. Maybe.

If I can code it "just right"

And, I honestly think it deserves it.

I've woke up with a new vigour. An aim to, for the first time in a very very VERY long time, actually write an iOS game.
So the concept is being locked away, and I'm going to try my hardest to relearn how to make an iOS game.
I know I can't use Monkey. That'd be great to use, but it's outdated and broken, and not really useable any more.
So I guess I need to learn how to do it, and hopefully figure it out fairly quickly.

I'd love to tell you more about this fantastic little idea, but like I said, it's almost SpikeDislike in its "very obvious, why does this not already exist" mechanism, and any details would surely end up with a bazillion clones showing up on the AppStore before you can say "Hey, That was my idea!!"

.. I think.
If it's as good as I think it is.

Mum thinks it is.
But Mum's a very niche market!

Hmmm..

There may not be a normal AGameAWeek, this week, as a result.
