What, No R?! Blog
24th May 2024
Oh no! I forgot the R!!!
Though, to be fair, I didn't "forget" the R.. I just thought that the R was already there.

In 2014, KORG released a wonderfully powerful, and easy to use, music "DAW" tool called KORG Gadget on iPad.
Incredibly intuitive and such a fantastic little tool, it took me next to no time to get the hang of it, and within hours I'd created my first proper ALChoon with it.
Whenever you hit "New Track", it'll come up with a random name. On this occasion is picked "Conspicuous Advocator" as a title, and I ran with it, creating a lovely choon, learning how to use the interface, how to tweak the various instruments, and generally had a lot of fun with it.

When I came to creating the second choon, I opted to leave "Conspicuous" as the Album title, and named the second track "Balloon"..
From there on, the alphabet naming scheme continued, and soon I was generating Keyboard, Origins, Yardsticks and more.

Once I hit Zebra, what would I do..!?!

I started a new ALBum titled "Enigmatically", and started all over again with the Alphabet game.

It's now almost a decade later, and as I reach the end of the "Zinc" album, I thought I'd better double check things.

.. Dangit..

Well, I guess that's the rest of this year filled up, then.
I need to make an R album.
Once that's done, though, that'll be a complete set of ALBums, each with at least 26 tracks, all created in the space of 11 years.
That's not too shabby, right!?!

Meanwhile...

I ended up adding lyrics to this week's choon, and I think the results are quite nice.
It's kind of a shame that the karaoke-style element of VidGen isn't "quite" right yet. You can see it glitching out a little in places, especially when there's a long pause between words in a single line.
That needs fixed!
