"The Bee Whisperer"

[Scene One]
Ext. RCHomes - Garden

[Green is crouched down, talking to a fuzzy honey bee on a flower]
Green: (softly) Hello there, little buzzy friend. You're looking particularly fuzzy today.

[Dave approaches, looking bewildered]
Dave: Green, what are you doing?
Green: (excitedly) Dave! Come meet my new pet bee! I've named him Buzz.
Dave: (sarcastically) Oh, brilliant. First, you get weird about cats, and now you're adopting insects.
Green: (defensively) You adopted an ant just a few days ago, Dave.
Dave: (rolling eyes) Right, and look how that turned out.

[Scene Two]
Int. Dave's Room

[Dave is at his computer, Green is sitting nearby with the bee in a jar]
Dave: (exasperated) Greenie, you can't keep a bee as a pet!
Green: (proudly) Why not? Buzz and I have a special connection. Watch this! (to the bee) Buzz, do a loop-de-loop!

[The bee continues to bump against the jar]
Dave: (sarcastically) Oh yes, I can see the special connection. It's positively psychic.
Green: (defensively) He's just shy! Maybe if we play some music, he'll feel more comfortable.
Dave: (alarmed) Green, no! Remember what happened last time we tried to DJ for insects?
[Green puts on "Let Me Be Your Honey Bee" by Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith and the bee looks angrily towards him]

Dave: I don't think he likes it.

[Scene Three]
Ext. RCHomes - Garden

[Green is releasing the bee back into the garden, looking sad]
Green: (sniffling) Goodbye, Buzz. You were the best bee friend a guy could ask for.
Dave: (patting Green's shoulder) There, there. It's for the best. You were starting to smell like honey.
Green: (suddenly perking up) Hey, Dave! Look at that cute ladybug over there!
Dave: (groaning) Oh no, not again. You know what? I'm off to the pool hall.

[As Dave leaves, Green crouches down to talk to the ladybug]
Green: (softly) Hello there, little spotty friend. How do you feel about the name Dotty?

[End Credits]
