I can't really kick off February until I have a good theme for the month, so I guess I have a couple of days off before things get crazy again.
If you have any word/theme/topic suggestions, feel free to drop them in yesterday's blog.
But I still have a GIANT to do list, since October, that I have to do.
The new sound command in JSE is half-unfinished, and I need to move that and the new MP3 functionality over to the "Download HTML5 Game" player script.
I also have a new edition of PixelCubes that I haven't finished off, barely started really, which has more complex camera and lighting options, to let you take better images directly inside the interface.
That's not finished yet, either, and I really oughta do that.
Codas
On top of that, I'm slightly worried that the daily Codas episodes are getting lost in the site.
I spent a LOT of time yesterday, flicking through blog after blog after blog, extracting all the episodes, and popping them into the "All episodes.txt" file that I have on my system.
That's now over 1Mb in size, which is an alarming amount of text, even for me.
True, the past 8 months of episodes have been about 70% AI generated, but I've still had to read through them, edit huge chunks and do a whole bunch of rewrites.
"What are you on about, Jay?" I hear you cry.
In the A.I.Corner, under the Greenie pic of the day, is a "Reveal" link, which has been hiding a small silly 5 minute mini-sitcom since June.
I'm not sure what to do with this giant collection now, but I'm wondering if feeding it into other AI engines might give me more interesting and varied episodes.
Experimentation is the key, I suppose.
"Resting"
So, I guess this is my rest period between months, then?.
Goodness me, it's not much of a rest, is it?!
In just a couple of days, I'll have to start planning February out, and we all know Feb's the shortest month, so that should be fun!!!
I honestly thought I'd have had time to work on more little things, this month. Where did the time go?
Let me know if you find any working time machines.

Lyrics : By me
Sound Imported : Unclaimed Hashtag
(Specifically, a snippet from about 40 seconds through)
[verse]
Time flows like an endless river,
As it floats me on my journey.
A gentle stream to gather my thoughts,
Or a rapid to push me on.
The boat is my mind, getting battered in winds,
Bobbing up, crashing down, through the currents and waves.
As I gasp for a breath, I find myself chilled,
By a calming lake which lets me relax.
[chorus]
My thoughts are so frantic. My mind is at ease,
Can I stop all the chaos bringing me down to my knees.
The ebbs and the flows will both anger and please,
As I ride on my journey through violent seas.
[break]
[verse]
My mind-flow twists through shadow and light,
Through storied mornings and mathematical nights.
The harder I code, the less I imagine,
But the images flow, completing my journey
Each bend that I take brings a challenge anew,
The thrill of creation that I'm pushing through.
And even in chaos, I'll find a new spark,
A beacon of hope in the deepest of dark.
[chorus]
My thoughts are so frantic. My mind is at ease,
Can I stop all the chaos bringing me down to my knees.
The ebbs and the flows will both anger and please,
As I ride on my journey through violent seas.
[break]
[bridge]
My mind takes flight, like a bird through the air,
Soaring high on the joy of a game I’ve placed there.
I glide through the skies, taking in all the sights,
That have shaped my creations through restless nights.
Then I land on my boat to continue my quest,
To create one more game. One that might be my best.
[break]
[chorus]
My thoughts are so frantic. My mind is at ease,
Can I stop all the chaos bringing me down to my knees.
The ebbs and the flows will both anger and please,
As I ride on my journey through violent seas.
Int. Dave's Room
[Dave's hunched over his keyboard while the Effervescent Engine's bubbles flow through pipes, all around the room.]
Green: What happened to Project Clean-The-Sticky-Goo-From-The-Street?
Dave: ProCT'S-GoFTS?
Green: Whatever. Weren't you meant to be cleaning up all the goo?
Dave: I am! Look!
[Points to screen showing bubble-shaped fractals]
Green: That's... not cleaning.
Dave: The fizz ratios need perfect mathematical precision.
Green: This looks like it might take a while.
Dave: Don't worry, I've unoptimised the fractal generator, so it's giving the bubbles more work to do.
[Lady Computer displays an image of a calculator with ERROR]
Dave: Anyway, the fractals help me visualize the optimal fizz distribution.
Green: They look like bubbles.
Dave: Exactly! Pure Cola mathematics!
Green: No, I meant the fractals. They don't look like fractals. They look like bubbles.
Dave: Sure they do. That's the fizz.
Green: Maybe this is why everyone sticks to Binary.
Dave: Binary! That's it!
Green: No, wait, I didn't mean-
Dave: If I convert the fizz ratios to binary...
[Lady Computer displays an image of a mushroom cloud]
[Dave starts typing frantically]
Dave: Just need to adjust these seven digits...
Green: Not another seven-digit system.
Dave: It's perfectly logical!
Green: How is seven digits logical?
Dave: Phone numbers have seven digits.
Green: [stumped] OK.
[The Effervescent Engine starts making concerning noises]
Dave: Don't worry, it's supposed to do that.
Green: Your whole house feels like it's going to explode.
Dave: Trust me, I've Cola-proofed everything this time!
Green: This isn't cola, Dave!
Dave: Weeeee!!!!
[End credits, as outside, fizzy bubbling plumes are ejected all over the street]
