A couple of days ago, Michael Fernie suggested the words "Merge" and "Stack"
-=-=-
I think I'll probably opt to go with just "Stack" as the word for the month, but throw in Merge when I can. Mostly because I can't think of a Foldapuz game that can Merge AND Stack. One or the other, but not both. It's hard to fit both in together, when trying to simplify a game down to Foldapuz style pen&paper rules.
Let me know if you can think of anything that does.
So, we'll go with primarily Stack, and add in Merge whenever I can.
Is that ok?
Right then, that's the plan.
📚
The "Books" Emoji looks an awful lot like the WinRar icon, on Apple-things, but seems to be the best option to represent a "Stack", I think.
So, I guess that's us ready for March, then.
Yikes!!
Leave your thoughts in the comments or the Discord if you've any suggestions as to what sort of games you'd like to see.
One, Two, Three, Stacking up.
Four, Five, Six, Stacking up.
Seven, Eight, Nine, Stack it all up. Up .. Up.
Stack it all up.
(Yeah)
[bridge]
Take whatever the object is.
Stack them all up to the ceiling.
Might be crazy or might be sane.
Whatever the mood I'm feeling.
I haven't planned what games to make,
Or any sort of path to take,
But I'll be sure, for goodness sake,
To make some games with stacking.
(wooo)
[bridge]
[chorus]
One, Two, Three, Stacking up.
Four, Five, Six, Stacking up.
Seven, Eight, Nine, Stack it all up. Up .. Up.
Stack it all up.
(Yeah)
[bridge]
(stack, stack, stack, stack)
I wonder if the cow will be there,
Stacking things up without a care,
Or will I draw a happy frog,
Who stacks up things upon a log.
Or maybe there'll be chickens flapping
Up together with blocks a-stacking,
But likely I'll do something plain,
With Platdude, Munky or Spikes again.

[chorus]
One, Two, Three, Stacking up.
Four, Five, Six, Stacking up.
Seven, Eight, Nine, Stack it all up. Up .. Up.
Stack it all up.
(Yeah)
One, Two, Three, Stacking up.
Four, Five, Six, Stacking up.
Seven, Eight, Nine, Stack it all up. Up .. Up.
Stack it all up.

Int. Dave's Study - Morning
[Dave and Green are sat in front of the computer, which is displaying a glorious spreadsheet]
Dave: Right, so opening a computer shop... First, we need stock.
Green: You're actually serious about this?
Dave: Of course! I've got retail experience!
Green: You mean that time you worked at Joe's for about ten minutes?
Dave: I learned a lot that day. Like not to price Win-TV cards at £10.
Green: And what exactly would you sell?
Dave: Software. PhileSplitter.
Green: Just PhileSplitter?
Dave: Windows?
Green: I think most people just wait for Windows to nag at them to upgrade for free, nowadays.
Dave: Office?
Green: People don't buy that anymore, either. It's all subscription based.
Dave: What else do people buy?
Green: People buy a lot, but usually online.
Dave: What about games, then? People still buy games, right?
Green: Sure. But even those are mostly done online, now.
Dave: Aaah, but they can't get cassettes online, can they?
Green: Well, no, but anything that needs cassette based games probably isn't going to be online any time soon.
Dave: Then it's sorted then. We'll make a shop called "All the Cassettes", and then everyone will flood in to buy games on tape!
Green: And Philesplitter.
Dave: Dave, Yes!
Green: This is a terrible idea, Dave.
Dave: Only because we don't have a proper plan. We need more spreadsheets to formulate this properly.
Green: Dave, I'm putting my foot down. This is a disastrous plan, and you definitely shouldn't go ahead with it.
Dave: Oooh, a challenge!
Green: How about we just have a nice relaxing day, watch some telly, and try our best not think about trying to open some horrific retro videogame store, which is bound to end in some terrible comical calamity by the end of next week?
