Stacks, like the empty Snack Verse boxes that are slowly making a mark in the corner of my bedroom, waiting for a purpose that hasn't quite been decided on yet.
Stacks, like the pile of old computer magazines that I used to own before the house-move that got unceremoniously dumped at the local recycling depot because apparently nobody wanted them.
Stacks, like that song by Pulp which is awesome.
There's stacks to do, and there's stacks to see.
So many ways for you to spend your time.

I've already written Monday's Foldapuz game, hurray. It's actually quite an interesting concept and I'm wondering if it could also make for a Shoebox or Five Words game, too.
Though, both of those would require a tall screen, what with the theme being Stacks, and all.
It fits rather well on a Foldapuz area, though.
I'm currently formulating a plan for JSE, I *think* though the plan might end up going into Shoebox instead. It depends on how it feels, once I've started playing it.
To be honest, it feels more "Puzzle" than "Game", and I'm trying my best not to make Shoebox too full of puzzles.
Some puzzles are nice to have in there, but nobody loves a collection of mostly just puzzles.
.. or at the very least, Mum plays Crosswords (The definitely not a Scrabble clone) game more than any other in there.
I need to make more games like that in Shoebox.
.. But how would you make that with a Stack?
Hmmm..
So, yeah, one down, four to go, because there's 5 Mondays in March. Eeek!
As always, if you've any game ideas, pop 'em in the comments or the Discord.
[verse]
You've mined ever onwards through canyons and caves,
But now you must build upwards with stacks you must save.
Build up, build it high, buildings reach for the sky,
Full of stacks, full of paper or plastic, you try,
Growing over your head, tower upwards forever.
The stacks are all growing as tall as you're clever.
A drop or a throw and it all comes together,
I hope if it drops that it falls like a feather.
[chorus - swell]
Stacks, stacking the stacks, stacking like this, and stacking like that.
Upwards it grows, onward forever, stacking away almost every day.
Keep it aligned, keep it in line, stack it all up like it's all glued together,
And then at the end put a hat on the stack, so that everyone knows that you're happy with that.
(everyone knows that you're happy with that.)
[break]
[repeat - epic]
Stacks, stacking the stacks, stacking like this, and stacking like that.
Upwards it grows, onward forever, stacking away almost every day.
Keep it aligned, keep it in line, stack it all up like it's all glued together,
And then at the end put a hat on the stack, so that everyone knows that you're happy with that.
(everyone knows that you're happy with that.)
[break]
Everyone's glad that you're finally happy,
Now that you've stacked a tower like that.
[final chorus - building]
Stacks, stacking the stacks, stacking like this, and stacking like that.
Upwards it grows, onward forever, stacking away almost every day.
Keep it aligned, keep it in line, stack it all up like it's all glued together,
And then at the end put a hat on the stack, so that everyone knows that you're happy with that.
(everyone knows that you're happy with that.)
[Dave is excitedly holding a large cardboard box while Green looks on nervously]
Dave: This is it! Our first stock item!
Green: I thought we agreed this shop was a bad idea?
Dave: No, YOU agreed it was a bad idea. I was too busy bidding on eBay.
Green: So you bought a bunch of old technology?
Dave: Not hardware. Software. And this is different. These are genuine sealed items!
Green: How much did you waste on them?
Dave: Only fifty quid! And no waste, not at all.
Green: For the whole box full?
Dave: Bargain, right?
[Dave starts opening the box with excessive ceremony]
Dave: Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you...
Green: There's only me here.
Dave: Ta-da! Forty-eight copies of Count Duckula 2!
Green: What?
Dave: For the Amstrad CPC!
Green: I'm not sure your shop's about to take off with these, Dave.
Dave: But they're sealed! Mint condition!
Green: There's probably a good reason for that.
[Nibbles beeps questioningly from the corner]
Dave: Don't worry Nibbles, I'm sure someone will want them.
Green: And you paid fifty quid for these?
Dave: Exactly! We could be the world's premier Count Duckula 2 retailer!
Green: Dave, that's not something to aspire to.
Dave: Maybe we could bundle them with PhileSplitter?
Green: Because nothing says 'file management' like a vegetarian vampire duck?
Dave: It's an epic marketing opportunity!
[End Credits roll as Dave tries to teach Nibbles the Count Duckula theme tune]
