Still haven't decided on a name for this game, yet.

Neon Stacks?
Neon Defence?
Neon Attack?

I don't want to call it Neon Tower, because that sounds like a fun platformer that I definitely need to make at some point.

Anyway, it's about 50% functional at this point.
NeonPlat can infinitely build stacks, there's no "money" (be it credits, coins, tokens or whatever) to stop him building things, and there's no specific switch between build and battle phases.
But I've been adding various types of Waves into the engine, so that, once I'm ready to start doing the Battle phase, everything's ready to go.
Background coding, always fun!

Yesterday Michael Fernie suggested having coins as a build-fund, and though that *could* work, it'd actually mean I need to put more thought into the buildable towers than a relatively simple 3-stack system. (Cyan bottom, orange middle, yellow top)

The more complex the monetary system, the more work I feel I need to put into the stacks. So, I think by keeping everything relatively simplistic, I can manage to do away with (aargh!!) adding any kind of GUI elements into the game, other than basic "boxes drawn around items you're near" stuff.
..
.... Oh, hey, didn't I start writing a GUI engine for JSE...? ..
......
Hmm. We'll get back to that at some point, I'm sure. (!!!)

I'm not quite sure where it plucked this one from, but I do like it
