This game is almost done, I swear. Just a few more tweaks and I'll be there.

Pea Fool is coming along rather well, though it took me ages to write a text formatter function that would be reusable for a bunch of text. The result is quite neat, and seems to fit into most resolutions/ratios that I can be bothered to try.
I hope you don't mind me using player tokens as shells. They seem to do the job well enough, and cover the peas up perfectly!
There's not a whole lot of playability just yet, though, so I need to add shell movement, ensure the pea doesn't "pea-k" out along the way, and then get the gameplay mechanics in place.
.. Honestly, not a lot looks like it's been done, but that text formatter took bloomin' ages, yesterday!
[verse]
You're nearly there, now don't lose track.
Your task is almost done.
Just do the last bit, and you'll be finished.
Then it's time for fun.
[chorus]
(fun!) When you're finished.
(fun!) When the task is over.
(fun!) When you know there's no more to do.
(fun!) [beat] When you have another rest.
(wooo!)
Fun!
[interlude]
[verse]
Keep on going, just a little bit more.
The end is getting closer.
You've been at this point lots before.
The task is almost over.
[chorus]
(fun, fun, fun!) When you're finished.
(fun, fun, fun!) When the task is over.
(fun, fun, fun!) When you know there's no more to do.
(fun!) [beat] When you have another rest.
(wooo!)
Fun!
[break]
[bridge]
Then when you are finally over you can go and have a rest,
You haven't slept well all this week. A nap would be the best.
So finish off the task in hand, then go and have a sleep.
Before you start on another task. You start one, every week.
[chorus]
(fun, fun, fun!) When you're finished. (yeah, yeah)
(fun, fun, fun!) When the task is over. (wooo!)
(fun, fun, fun!) When you know there's no more to do. (no more, no!)
(fun!) [beat] When you have another rest. (oh yeah)
[Dave's sat at his computer, whilst Greenie watches on]
Green: Dave, it's Easter Monday. Shouldn't you be doing something more interesting than sitting sifting through eBay listings?
Dave: (excitedly) I've managed to get twelve Job Lots of retro games, so far. Games for things like the Dragon, and the TRS-80.
Green: You know most of those will probably just sit on the shelves for years, right?
Dave: Yeah, but these are retro. If anything, they'll be worth MORE, later!
Green: Look. Me, Matt and Joe are all heading out for a big Easter Meal. Do you want to come with?
[Dave continues scrolling]
Dave: Wow, check this out. 117 cassettes, all for the Oric-1
Green: (suddenly interested) Really?
Dave: For the shop, Greenie. For the shop.
Green: Hmph. Right, are you coming out, or not? Matt says he'll even buy us a big Easter cake for desert.
Dave: Or I could bring some Chocolate ScrunchCakes?
Green: I think desert is probably better without sausages.
Dave: Depends on the sausage.
Green: It really doesn't.
Dave: They do sausages with apples.
Green: The pork and apple ones?
Dave: Yeah.
Green: There's still pork in there. And I'm not 100% convinced that the Apple would go with the Chocolate, either.
[Dave ponders this for a short while, until..]
Dave: Ooh, another Job Lot of Count Duckula 2!
Green: Don't even...
