1st attempted Java App.
It's a nice quicky program.
Pick a time, click start, when time's up it plays a tune.
Yeah, it's not much, but surprisingly the LGCookie (KP500) doesn't have one.
So here's one..

I say quicky, bit in the end it took a whole day to do it.
I decided to try out MidletPascal, (I'd link to it, but their site's down!) which..
Well, let's be honest, it's neither better or worse.
Java's a mangled mess of a language, and so is Pascal.
But Pascal's less of a mess than Java, so I'll use that!
Unfortunately, MidletPascal tends to crash every 10 minutes. Wootsocks!
So, it was a long painstaking process of type code, test, tweak, crash, reload, test, type bit more, crash, shout, crash, test, etc.
Maybe for my next game I'll try Java.
Or hanging myself.
I don't know if anyone here has a Cookie, so I'm not going to label this as a "NEW GAME!!", nor a AGameAWeek release. But if you have any kind of touchscreen phone, or maybe a PDA with Java abilities, or .. anything!
Try running it, and let me know how you get on.
And if you want to change the tunes to your own midis, just open the .jar file, (they're just .zip files!!) and replace the 4 midi files, but be sure you keep the names intact, including them being UPPERCASE.
Don't ask about vibrate, haven't sussed that out within the Pascal thing, yet!
