2010 - Blockman in a Mario Costume

Rounding off a Month of Mario styled games, I took the original Blockman premise, and added a Mario Costume!
Blockman wasn't always the happy go lucky pill popper that he's now famed for.
Originally, Blockman was a platform character, who had to guide mini blockmans (blocklets) to their home.
If you played yesterday's Zombie, Blockman was basically that, but as a platform game.

For the "In a Mario Costume" version, I returned to that gameplay, and added in bumpable blocks when in Mario mode.

The premise is simple.
Run around the maze (it's wraparound, so you'll probably get lost a bit, but once you get the hang of the arena, you should be ok!)
Collect the Blocklets (they "pop" up around the arena.)
Guide them home (the more you get home in one go, the bigger your score)
Avoid the Ghosts (they scare away your Blocklets!!)

If you find a [?] block, you can try on the Mario Costume, where you can run around bopping the arena to unveil coins. Grab the coins to score extra points based on how many Blocklets you're currently trailing.

Incidentally, the Blockman theme in SpikeDislike2 follows the spirit of this, somewhat.
You'll only earn points if you have a trail of Blocklets behind you!
