Sometimes, our occasional glance back at previous games, released on this day in history, reveals some absolutely abysmal game ideas.
Other times, however, it brings about a classic game which makes me wonder why I've not remade it any sooner.-=-=-

2009 - PipeRats

PipeRats is a cracking little maze game, featuring one or more rats trapped in a little pipe-based maze.
The rats sit on platforms, and you "swipe" over the rat to tell it which direction to go in.
Guide the rats towards the cheese to eat up the cheese, and eventually send them to the checkered goal area.
You can click on pipe pieces to spin them around, so as to avoid certain paths, or create new ones.
You should keep the rats away from each other, though. They're not friendly, and you'll need to restart the level if any two rats meet up.

It's a simple enough game, and with "swipe" movement, you get the feeling that this game was destined to become an iOS Classic.

What lets it down, though, is my shit level design.
There's a handful of levels in the game, and they're not exactly the world's most taxing puzzle levels.
Hmm..

If I were any better, this game might be half decent.
But it isn't.
Instead it's just something to keep you occupied for a few minutes.

A shame.
It could've been massive!!
