On Friday morning, @MadGarden suddenly popped up on Google Chat and started chatting about some sort of game he imagined might be interesting.
Something about "a neat control scheme for a platformer/combat thing" being a bit like Tron, with the discs being both a weapon and a shield.
Not entirely sure what he was on about, but it started one of those oddball pots of insanity bubbling, and soon enough a random game idea had emerged from my mind..

It's quite a way from MadGarden's original suggestion. In fact, it's pretty much a polar opposite!

Bean Bag Tanks!

I haven't reconsidered that title since it first popped up on Friday, so expect that to be the game's final title.
So far, I have a player tank, and a bunch of AI tanks, all roaming around the screen shooting Bean Bags at each other.

Yeah, that's a bit different from a Tron-styled platformer, I'll give you that! But the basic idea of "Battle with Objects" is what spurred this little game.
It plays a bit like the Atari 2600 Combat game, except with limited ammo.
I'm currently trying to decide on exactly what sort of gameplay mechanics should feature in the game, and trying to come up with a nice level-structure.

And only a day left to finish it all off.
yikes!!!

Will it be finished for a Tuesday release?
Gonna have to wait and see!
