New iOS Titles!

You wait months for a new AGameAWeek iOS game, and then two come along at once!
Apologies that these weren't posted some time last week, but they've been sat in "Waiting for Review" status for AGES!! Much, much longer than the regular "7 days" wait. -=-=- -=-=- Spiky TowerOf my recent games, Spiky Tower seems like it oughta be on iOS. The game exists within the wonderful world of SpikeDislike, and since iOS is the gaming landscape where SpikeDislike grew up, it seemed only natural that the game should exist on that platform, too. The game features the regular mix of Orange Ball and Retro Spikes, alongside a large tower, and has a bit of a quirky control scheme which people will no doubt complain about. It works really well once you get used to it, but haters will hate!! If you can stand the quirky control scheme, you can use it to battle your way up the tower and beat all your friend's GameCenter based highscores. Head for the top! And yes, there's a top!! (..which will unceremoniously kick you directly into the next level, should you ever manage to reach it!.. Let me know if you do...) You can BUY Spiky Tower here from the iOS AppStore, for 69p/$0.99/equivalent. -=-=- Disc BlasterOne of my recent AGameAWeek games (Disc Blaster) has met with a number of issues when porting to Android. The main issue is that Android doesn't happily do Additive Blending. I'm not sure why this is, but .. well, let's put it down to the all-too-common issue of Android Fragmentation. When I compare the bright and colourful iOS edition of Disc Blaster to the bland, dull, lifeless Android version, there's a DRASTIC difference in how great it actually looks. As such, I wrangled the bits and pieces together, and (for a change) opted to actually bother to release the iOS edition. This version features all the lovely effects, perfectly intact, and looks AWESOME on a Retina display. The iPad Retina is the highest-resolution I've had it going at, and it's still lovely and silkily smooth, as well as nicely glowy and shiny! Mmmmm.. Glow!!! You can BUY Disc Blaster here from the iOS AppStore, for 69p/$0.99/equivalent. Views 31, Upvotes 9
