Scoring's been added to Flappadiddle-Doo, and the new bonus mechanic is integrated to the scoring, but isn't yet added to the gameplay.
Today I need to rejig some of the level generator so that it can find places for obstacles to be placed, without the levels becoming impossible.
Once that's done, it's on to adding some nice new elements, and seeing how they work in the game.
The plan for Flappadiddle-Doo is to build the game over the next few weeks. At the moment, the game feels more or less identical to the original, but as I've quite a few plans in mind, I'll be breaking the scoring along the way. As such, each week's release will clear your scores before you start.
I'll probably re-number each week's release, so that those who prefer to keep all versions can do so, but only the final release will have online scoreboards. .. I think.
Honestly, that depends on how quickly I can get everything up and running.
Anyhoo, back to today.
Rework the level generator, find more spaces in the levels, and add more elements.
Plenty to do!
