Re-Fuze
Blog
16th February 2020
A few days ago, @Amarjit_uk asked me if "Fuze4Switch" was worth going ahead with, and it occurred to me that it's been half a year since I last tackled the thing.
Perhaps it'd had some nice fixes over that time? Maybe I should give it another whirl.. -=-=- The latest update managed to break my 6 month old rendition of SpikeDislike. After my previous attempt had caused insane capitalisation issues all over the code, I was glad that the language wasn't case-sensitive. .. Except now it was. A bit.. CoNtrOLs().A no longer worked, and HAS TO BE CoNtrOLs().a Controls isn't case sensitive. The "a" IS case sensitive.. Awkward!!! I fixed that up, got it all finished off, and uploaded it. The updated Fuze now has an ID-Based download system, which makes things MUCH better, in my opinion. Much like my Petit Switch list is made up of ID's, so would a possible Fuze collection. But will I be? I opened up my unfinished Framework, and did the same button fixes for it, then started figuring out the best methods for sprite handling. Everything seemed to be going well enough, until the app crashed. Loading it up again and reopening my project resulted in the same repeatable crash. After about 30 seconds or so of running my framework, the whole thing freaks out and crashes. I'm about 75% sure this is something in my gobbledygook crazy 80's style coding methods, but it also could be something in Fuze. Not sure yet. I'll be continuing to figure things out, and apparently I'm earning a fair number of Fuze followers (including the devs!), so I guess I'll have plenty of opportunity to let them know directly, when I figure out what the problem(s) is (/are!).. *sigh* Like I don't have enough to code, each week!! Oh yeah, and the Inverted Keyboard issue no longer appears to be an issue.. So.. There's that.. Views 67, Upvotes 19
