Each week, as I release all my lovely games, a massive influx of fan thoughts bombard my innbox. Be part of this amazing section of the site, by leaving comments and thoughts on the games and other bits and pieces. You can Play Spiky Tower in the Browsercade, in your browser, on Desktop, Mobile or Tablet.

@RSKGames

Spiky Tower is one of the ultra fast game that I have played from AGAW collection.

The Microbes game is coming along nicely for Petit Switch, and I *think* I'm making a Minigolf for Shoebox, but that all depends on how well the controls work.

As more and more games get dumped into the archive, more and more players are sending feedback. Let's dig a random letter from the mailbox!

@RSKGames

In 2017 ''Blockman Returns'' was released and that was the first JNK's Blockman game I played. #1 Browsercade game is a remake of ''Blockman Returns'' game. You can Play Blockman in the Browsercade.

This week's game sees you trying to place the cards in such a manner that all rows and columns add up to 21. The game should be fairly easy to solve, as long as you remember the card values. Jack, Queen and King are all worth 10. Aces can be either 1 or 11. You can Play Pontoon Grid here, or wait for it to show up in your regularly scheduled puzzle sheet.

Blandness has enveloped much of the site! The complete Shoebox and Foldapuz collection are now added to the Archive, and that's how things are going to look, moving ahead. In the coming weeks (hopefully!!) I'll be starting to add Browsercade games into the mix, too, so things should begin to get a bit more interesting to look at, but as I transition from making downloads to generating everything via Javascript, there's always going to be that bit where things get a bit .. .. Boring and web-...

After each week's release, players submit their thoughts on the games. Let's have a look and see what @RSKGames thought of Space Battle! You can Play Space Battle in the One-On-One section of the Shoebox.

@RSKGames

Played Space battles for some time and thanks to a lenient AI I was able to win most of the times.

As the collection grows ever onwards, people send feedback for the various oddities that I create. You can Play Tower Solitaire in the Shoebox, under the Card Games.

@RSKGames says..

For regular Solitaire players this version might need some time to get used to as the card that is required to build the tower is not one less or one more of the cards in stack but follows a simple rule. Yeah, it's a slightly different strategy, but it makes things a lot tougher when you end up with a v...

Today I need to rewrite a ton of my input code, to work properly with redefined keys/gamepads, and then add a screen to let you do that. .. More bloomin' menus. Grrr!!

After a couple of days of back&forth, I've finally decided "meh, whatever!" and opted to go for a Coverflow-RipOff style menu. It actually looks rather nice, and scrolls quite well, except on touchscreens where the thing's a teensy bit dodgy due to co-ordinate issues. But otherwise it works nicely. (Although it isn't "quite" centring properly!) Scroll around, select a game, sorted.. Currently all "games" lead to the exact same test engine, but eventually this will (hopefully!) be a ma...

..? I've enjoyed doing Shoebox for the past few months, and am currently trying to decide whether I should make a similar browser-based collection of Keyboard/Gamepad supported games. Delving through the depths of AGameAWeek's past, I'd be able to build up a fairly interesting collection that can all be played in your browser. .. I might even add one of those "Onscreen Controls" things for when you're playing on mobile.. If I were to do this, I've decided that a nice name migh...

@RSKGames suggests.. Can you consider making a version of the new AGAW JS mega compilation into an electron app so that you can retain the online scoreboard. In a electron app I think you can restrict users getting into the dev console. I'll have a look into it.

Amazing how much a funeral hits you. I spent all day yesterday sitting about, playing Smash Bros, watching various YouTube things, and generally not really bothering to do any sort of coding whatsoever. Maybe today will be more productive?

Meanwhile..

Just my opinion, but the individual cards could use a tiny bit more margin. I prefer the top picture. Not because of the aspect ratio of the cards themselves, but because it has a...

Lots of comments, lately, as the Shoebox has essentially thrown any kind of regular AGameAWeek schedule well out of the window. I should probably look into fixing that, and getting back to a more regular schedule. Hmm.. Anyway.. RSKGames has submitted a few thoughts on Cardagain, so let's have a post about that! You can find Cardagain in the Shoebox, under the Misc section.

You can Play Shoebox of Games here Over the course of a couple of weeks, in February 2019, I began the creation of a small collection of JavaScript games. My aim is to, over the next few weeks/months, to slowly expand the number of games included in the pack, to create a lovely little collection of card games, word games, board games and more, all of which are playable within your browser.

Taking a significant chunk of the Foldapuz/Unfolded, and JNKsg code as the basis, I've managed to get a fairly decent drawing engine up and running. Text, Ovals, Rects, Lines, Plot, and the all important DrawImg are all in, and functioning as expected, albeit without any recolouring for DrawImg. (Since I'm using basic Javascript and HTML5, I'm forfeitting the ability to recolour my sprites)
