Had to tweak a lot of the speed of Kabooma Looma (Browsercade) last night to get it feeling more like the SmileBASIC edition.

As I stated a few days ago (didn't I?) I've been working on a port of Poke 5,n over to SmileBASIC. It's been going fairly well, but I had to integrate Touch control to my framework. Eeek!!

You can find it in the Nintendo Switch eShop, (once your country's timezone hits the sweet spot!) and begin your creation adventure.

An image popped into my head, the other night, and so I spent most of yesterday getting that into the Browsercade engine. Today, I need to figure out how to turn that into a game. I'd better get doing that, then, because I'll be posting the finished game in the morning!!

As much as I love making gambling games (after all, my IRL name is actually James Gamble) I've tried to steer away from them for the past decade or so.

This is not really a game idea. I've seen you're using petitcomputer 4 on nintendo swich. Do you like the basic coding language? If yes, you can also make mobile games (cuz your little games could really go on mobile) for android using Rfo basic and Rfo compiler (if you don't want to pay a compiler, you can just use rfo-quick apk). Hope to see some mobiles games soon, heredos. Honestly.. I'm DONE with Mobile.

The current Petit Switch game is nothing more than a generic Breakout clone. I'm going to try to up it to Arkanoid status, and maybe add something new to the mix, but. .. Honestly, what new stuff can I add that hasn't been added 100 times before?!

I finally got away to the getaway island, last night. Isle Plat looks like it might become a lovely little island, but is currently full of weeds, and other nasty things that I need to take care of. What a lovely little island, though. A highly recommended getaway. #AnimalCrossing

The little bike engine on Petit Switch is kinda turning into a game, I think..? The bike's moving nicely, you can bump into the houses, and there's a pizza place. (Sorry for nasty quality.. That's what you get when you post a Switch Screenshot directly to Twitter.. Eeeeeeuuuw!!) Today I need to get gameplay working. Probably just something like "How many orders can you fulfil within a 5 minute period" or that kind of thing. Not really sure if I'm honest! I should probably al...

I drew a biker, yesterday, and got him/her riding around on a blank landscape. TwitterLink Today I need to decide on what kind of game might result from such an engine.

Theme number two "Heavy Blues" is a blue-grid floor with a squarish background and a heavy blue ball. This theme is basically stress testing a couple of elements in the engine. You can Play Heavy Blues over at SpikeDislike.com

This week's Petit Switch game's turned out alright. It's not the greatest looker, but gameplay wise it's really nice and playable. Odd thing is, that the player needs to collect batteries to keep their energy charged, but the game is called "Oxygen Depletion". .. I might need to rename it! I'm slightly tempted to do the game for Browsercade, too, but I've been poked and prodded into Doing the Do, like Betty Boo, instead...

Lots of internal tweaks to the engine, today. The game now records your highest combo, and places that alongside your highscore in the saves. This means that, when necessary, I can pop that up on the screen. Your last score on the scoreboard is now highlighted and bounces to and fro, to stand out on the list. I do miss having that in the Browsercade. .. Maybe I should try to figure out a way to do that, but Browsercade's save data is there for lots of different types of games, and having a Top 10...

Michael Fernie posted to the suggestion box.. Mr Do type game Another fun game we used to play all the time. Sort of like Dig Dug but I liked this better. Loved being able to throw the ball and have it bounce thru tunnels you made.

For the past couple of months, I've had the plan of a "One Touch Games" framework in mind, but couldn't ever decide on the best name for such a domain. A week or two ago, I just figured "To hell with it", and opted for SpikeDislike.com instead. SpikeDislike.com!

Every week or so, I think about SpikeDislike. How big it once was, and how abandoned it now is. Going from it's hefty days back in 2011, when it actually SOLD a decent amount on iOS, to the current day where it's all been removed from the AppStore because I haven't updated it in years. And yet, it's something I keep coming back to, and it has pretty much defined the sort of things that I've been doing for the past decade. Spike has whittled his way into becoming an alarmingly com...
