Happy Blockman Day! It's been 4 years since the last Blockman Gets game was released, so it's about time we had another! Blockman Gets Hungry strips out the boulders, takes out the power-pellets, and instead uses fruit for various functions. There's four different fruit to eat. See if you can figure them all out!!

I wrote tonight's Socoder Newsletter earlier today, so that I didn't have to do it tonight. The Plan? Get home, head to the Mac, Code some Daisy Chains.. The Reality? Get home, head to the Mac, answer emails, post tweet replies, forums stuffs, and then my phone started yelling at me because I haven't posted today's blog yet. FFS!! A game? Again? Yup! Made a (URL "https://www.playmycode.com/play/game/jayenkai/not-the-same">nice little mazey thing), where you have to trek around a random maze. The maze isn't hard, but it's one of those nice "harder if you don't do it right!" style of things that I have a knack of making. Not sure why I keep doing those! I just seem to like their insane difficulty! Perhaps, in reality, my games are actually really really piss easy, and it's just me that keeps playing them wrong!? *shrugs*

A simple little maze game. Guide "Generic 8-bit chr #3" to grab all the little gems. You can't step on two same-coloured tiles one after the other, and try not to crumble the floors or that'll kill you, too..

54 games. Last year I only managed about 30-odd, so I think that's pretty good going. Sure, it might not have truely actually been A Game "Per" Week, but I did at least keep the ratio up. If I hadn't taken the time out to build the framework, I probably would've actually achieved the target a little better The stats show I was pretty much on top of things up until that point, but then things got slower and slower until my buffer zone was all dried up. Kept the random title.. It'll do! Not sure if it works better as "Kee, Bo and Ard", or just "Kee Bo Ard", but either way, here we have it! Kee, Bo and Ard must all be guided through the maze. No release yet, it's nearly ready, but still so far away! Not to worry, it's Platdude's month, so let's carry on. By the end of this month there'll be a PC version, and a Linux version, too. That's hopefully apparent by now. What I've not mentioned, yet, is my hopes to recreate this game onto other platforms. So let's talk about that, now.

A classic Blockman game, in the style he was meant to be in! Sure, he looks great doing his whole "Pacman maze, but hungry" thing, but this is the style he made his name in, so it seems only fitting that this would be where he finds his Mario Costume. aka BadgeBox, because I kept changing it's name, but forgot to update the exe's title! d'oh! A nice simple maze game, with health points and power points. Collect the gems to up your health and power, and collect Badges to increase your abilities. Sometimes you have really productive days. Occasionally, though, those really productive days seem to drag on and on, and not actually produce much at all! Here's what I've done today. 1. We're up to 5 skins, since I added a plain rock+lava one. Plenty of graphical variety, but only as much as it's still a bunch of squares making up a maze! 2.
