Menu Two is infinitely more complicated than Menu One. Whereas menu one was simply a set of buttons on the titlescreen, menu two needs to list hundreds of levels.

I had a nice day off, yesterday, playing with the Logo generator. There's still a few other things I'd like to add, like gradients and possibly borders, outlines, embossing, and that sort of thing. But for now I think I should probably head back to JNKPlat.

I'm now at a point where I can edit a level, save the level, quit the game, load the game, start the game, and the game will then load the level I just edited.

I might end up delaying the game until tomorrow. After a weekend full of yucky flu conditions, the coding's been a little slower in pace.

In order to do a new Centipong justice, I need to add nice level transitions, mushroom popping, and other nice stuff. It could probably do with a number of ALChoons, too, to keep it lively. As such, and given what day it is, tomorrow, I've decided to hold off on the game until next week, so I have ample time to do the game justice. Hopefully you don't mind.

100 NOW compilations, and what do we get?! Track Listing That's a bit of a shit selection, isn't it..? I mean, I can understand why they did that. Every NOW needs to have modern tracks, and this one additionally has to celebrate the past. .. But.. Really.. Would it have killed them to have got a selection of modern artists to rerecord the original track listing of the original NOW 1? ..? That's what I'd've done. *sigh* What a wasted opportunity.

No coding, last night, as I realised I didn't have any of my iOS Backups on the new laptop. The whole process isn't as scary as it once was, and iTunes is gradually learning to behave itself over the decade or so since I started using it. But it's still slow as crap..

In order to make the Bouncer format work properly, I'm going to need to give the player a different kind of control scheme. I'm almost tempted to strip away the "constantly bouncing" form of the ball, and go for something more like Soccer Kid on the Amiga.

Each release brings a wave of thoughts and comments. Let's have a peek at RSKGame's thoughts on this week's puzzle game. You can Download The Link Janitor here.

@RSKGames

A very relaxing puzzle game with right mixture of difficulty with 225 levels. Crikey. He's only gone and completed the entire game!!

I have NO IDEA how it happened, but at some point yesterday, the face on my Misfit Phase cracked. I must've hit it, or something, but I really can't remember doing that. Hmmm..

Yesterday, as I watched the empty scoreboards once more, I decided it was probably about time I "switched them on" properly. -=-=- Note : In order to activate online scores on my recent games, hop into the options screen, and Enter Your Name.

I didn't get an awful lot of gameplay implemented into this week's game, yesterday, but the basic bits and pieces are in the engine. I've decided another remake's in order, and am focusing on NeoPlat. Not NeonPlat, the happy neon Desktop game, but NeoPlatDS, the little Original DS game about landing on floors, or something!!

Saturday. My "week-off" is nearly over. As I look back at what I've achieved this week, I'm somewhat astounded by how little I've managed to get functioning correctly.

I've spent roughly a decade working in multiple scales, resolutions and ratios. I've dealt with Android, with it's 57,000 different possible resolutions. I've handled iOS with portrait/landscape orientations. I've coped with Windows with a bazillion different possible window sizes.. But 3DS, with one single screen resolution!?! AARGH!!!

Today's been a bit of a crazy day of maths, as I wrangled the numbers in order to get things to look vaguely accurate onscreen. The player's no longer colliding with the floor correctly, but at least now the little squishable creatures are all behaving like they should. Next to be added, a few powerups!

I'm fairly sure I can make a draw-buffer work on the 3DS, but it seems I have a limit of 256x256 pixels due to my ongoing memory issues. For the Desktop side of the Framework, I typically work with buffers of 1024x1024, so that's a 1/4 scaling thing from the get-go. On the 3DS Framework, sometimes it uses full sized PC images when they're small enough, whilst other times it refers to smaller 1/4 sized scaled down images. This is more or less the same issue on the buffer's side of thin...
