Although I added a new game to Foldapuz yesterday, the sheer randomness of the randomness has meant that the newest game hasn't actually shown up, today.

For the past couple of weeks, since the most to a Linode server, I've been tweaking tons of little settings in and around the system to keep things running smoothly.

As I struggled through yet another flu-riddled day, I did at least do achieve one good thing.

Lots of fairly minor things happened yesterday.

Added Critically Triangular. Aaah, the joys of trigonometry! Also added Word Snake, which doesn't currently have any solutions, because I'm not sure how I could do that! It's an open-ended game, and should at least prove somewhat challenging. In addition, I've also rejigged the puzzle selection menu to make it a little bit neater, sectioning off the games into their various categories, and I've also shuffled the How To instructions to be in the same order.

I added a simple new game to Foldapuz, last night, but .. Would you believe it.. It didn't show up on today's default layout. D'oh!

Played the tutorial levels. Couldn't complete the navigation level 4 (I am not fast enough to get down and get up on the bar) and dangerous creatures level 2 (always got killed by the flying creature).

Ok, server woes over with, it's time to head back to Plat. Tonight I set up the Demo edition. It has 5 simple tutorial'y level packs to play through and includes the current version of the editor.

I added an Algebra puzzle to Foldapuz, last night, but once I realised the way to solve it, it unfolded into a ludicrously simple bit of maths.

After realising how bloomin' simple yesterday's version of Solve A,B,C was, I spent an hour or so trying to find the most convoluted of puzzles. I think the maths should be fairly complex, now, but am more convinced than ever, that figuring out the solution isn't as mathematically simple as it should be. Added Move One Digit, which needed a brief explanation. Currently considering adding a similarly short description to each of the panels.

Yesterday was definitely me getting back to normality.

I've spent the past few hours getting the majority of the Foldapuz website up and running. Simple drop down menus, and a whole lot of Javascript, and the thing seems to be fairly functional. If you're into your Pen 'n' Paper puzzles, you might enjoy it! More games to come, once I've decided what they are.

Finally got v1 of the main website up and running. Simple drop down menu items and a puzzle page. Nothing too fancy, just enough that you can select from the growing collection of puzzles.

Lots of "More" planned for today. More levels for JNKPlat. More tiles for JNKPlat. More puzzles for Foldapuz. Lots and lots of more!

Tweaked Doodle to draw less "squiggly" and more "scrawl-like". Tweaked Target to be less random, and instead do a bit of maths to set the target, so that all targets are at least possible.

Another 4 levels of JNKPlat were made, yesterday. Nice and big proper levels that should take a few minutes to solve, assuming you manage them in the right order!

...is the apparent name for the foldable booklet of puzzles. Today I need to decide if I'm going to continue to work on FoldAPuz, or take the time to work on more JNKPlat levels. Or, perhaps I should work on both of them!?!

The level above was created using the 3DS edition of the game. In fact, a whole 4 level pack was created, then swiftly backed up to the PC, in case anything breaks!! 4 Levels, and a successful first proper pack! I will, of course, need to create a few simpler packs for the start of the game, but this is a nice and complex level, and should be roughly the size of most of the levels in the game.

At some point, I need to start making some actual levels for the game.

Those blocks need shifting. Get back to work.

Amazing what a little hand-made data compression can do!!

The Editor definitely needs a decent GUI, but I'm unsure whether I'm better off with a simpler one, or something a little more fully featured.

I spent FAR too long playing with the door/exit swirly thing, yesterday, and even after all that time, I'm still not quite happy with the results.

I had a nice day off, yesterday, playing with the Logo generator. There's still a few other things I'd like to add, like gradients and possibly borders, outlines, embossing, and that sort of thing. But for now I think I should probably head back to JNKPlat.

It's 1pm, already, and I've barely started my day. Yet again, I did that thing where I stay awake writing the SoCoder Newsletter, "to give myself more time in the morning", but then am so tired that I end up spending all that "extra time" asleep. Totally backfires... .. ... Every week!!

The button layout chaos continues.. I'm going to try to make the gui for the level editor do as much as it can without needing buttons!!
