Each week, as people submit comments to the various games, I'll try to keep tabs on them all and collect them into these Player Thoughts posts.
Luckily, RSKGames seems to be the only one doing it, so it's not that hard to keep track of!
Feel free to give your own feedback.
This week, RSKGames looks at (URL "https://AGameAWeek.com/2017/08/release-2017-33-rainbows-shooting-from-my-balls/">Rainbows Shooting From My Balls)..!!

Each week, Player's submit their thoughts on that week's game.
Let's see what people thought of Bug destruction!
RSKGamesGame Overview: In a randomly generated level infested with a small number of big green bugs and lot of smaller white bugs the player is a floating exploding bomb. Using just 3 bombs per level the player has to kill all the green bugs to progress to the next level.Views 166, Upvotes 71

Over the past 3 or 4 weeks, I've been slowly getting back into the swing of doing iOS games.
Two releases so far, (Quadoban and Letter Lattice) and today's AGameAWeek (Bugsplodings) has just, within the past hour or so, been uploaded for Apple Review.
I thought I should write a blog about why these three have been created, and also explain why I've not yet gone "FULL PROMO!!!" about the games.
(Warning : Long waffling post!)

Playing with Pixels

DevelopmentsPixel-based collision detection is all but impossible with Monkey-X, due to the simple issues of rotation and scaling, along with more complicated screen resolution and orientation complications, and then the complete lack of 100% accuracy when it comes to drawing to buffers. (Although that last one is mostly down to Android, which likes to dither any and all images when the screen doesn't quite have full colour available.)Views 112, Upvotes 36

Let's take a look at this week's!
RSKGamesRollyBlob is a great puzzle game. The puzzle game mechanics are done wonderfully. The 60 second timer keeps you on your toes to find the solution fast.Views 157, Upvotes 46

I figured I should give a brief explanation as to how I'm generating the levels in RetroRaider.
This might become a regular series, so if you find this stuff interesting, be sure to let me know in the comments or email or twitter or whatever..
For RetroRaider, the map is split into an 8x8 grid, and each of those are split into a top and bottom. For the sake of making things easier on myself, I decided to make an 8x16 grid.

@TimeKillerGamesI find a little more effort could be put in to the title screens of some of your more recent games. Why not do what you used to do, and add a little more visuals of some kind to it?Views 156, Upvotes 41

For the past few years, I've been relying on my Archos Gamepad 2 to do all my in-dev testing.
Loads of work on my framework resulted in my OUYA games being nicely compatible with the device, so rather than constantly switching over to the actual OUYA or RazerTV to do small tests, I instead relied on the portability of the handheld Archos Gamepad 2.
