Each time I release a game, an huge influx of feedback comes my way from all over the web! Let's see what people thought of JNKPlat 2018! You can Download JNKPlat2018 Beta here.

@RSKGames

Played the tutorial levels. Couldn't complete the navigation level 4 (I am not fast enough to get down and get up on the bar) and dangerous creatures level 2 (always got killed by the flying creature).

Rewrote a significant portion of Sudoku thanks to feedback from @JulieMontoya20. The puzzles are a lot easier, now, but should at least be doable! Added Word Ladder. It's a little bit slow. Hopefully I can find a way to speed that up. Note : Due to the way I've rewritten the Random Words code, (so the Word Ladder worked!) Yesterday's Solutions will not work properly for today or tomorrow.

I accomplished a fair number of things, yesterday, but not enough, so today will be more of the same.

I should probably have already known this, but taking 500 levels worth of data and cramming it directly inside the code of a 3DS game, seems to cause memory issues!!

Over on my site Socoder.net, we have a daily poll, and each day it gives you something to vote on, then the next day you get points based on whether you voted for the winning item on the poll. It's been there for many many years, now, and I'm starting to get a little sick of the sight of the bloomin' thing, but what could I possibly replace it with? The current leading idea is a doodle box, where the players are given a start point and a few colours, and the best art wins. But that then requi...

(YouTube) The video above shows a bunch of the stuff I've been doing, today. The travellators were working the other day, as was the ability to hop up onto a ledge. But pretty much everything else is new. ..or at least, new to this edition. If you're a fan of previous JNKPlat games, this should all be fairly standard stuff.

I didn't get nearly as much done, yesterday, as I'd planned. Or at least, not all the elements of yesterday's checklist, anyway.

Although August 13th isn't a significant date in my health matters, it is the date that I wrote this rather lengthy blog post, back in 2012. It's now become a bit of a tradition for me to post an annual update on this date. Other Jiggity Posts The posts are given the title "Jiggity", because my original post was titled "Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig"! *shrugs* It's a handy keyword when searching for these health posts.

I might end up delaying the game until tomorrow. After a weekend full of yucky flu conditions, the coding's been a little slower in pace.

Over the past week or so, a growing pain in my wrist has been causing me to slow down my coding, and I think I finally worked out what it is that's doing it.

It's been a long long time since I did a bog standard Snake clone, and yesterday's code session reminded me of just how utterly simplistic a snake clone can be. Today I'll be making the tail follow the player, as it currently doesn't clear out as it goes, making things much harder for the player. Once that works, I'll be adding more tail-pieces as the player eats more, and then coming up with a soundtrack that matches the presentation of the game.

I think I've got the enemy ball AI working to a moderately decent degree, but of course I can't be 100% sure until the rest of the game is coded, and I'm actually facing him as an enemy. Most of the day's coding was focused on making the enemy do corners a little better. Even with padded out corners, it was still managing to fall into the abyss much more than I'd like. In the end, I got it balanced reasonably well. It still frequently plummets to its death, but then so does my ow...

With so many games to play, there's oodles of feedback for each. Let's see what RSKGames thought of this week's game!

@RSKGames

Overview: A fast paced circular bullet hell game. I liked it better than the ''Orbital Projections'' and ''The Trouble with Vents'' which till day I can never play properly. (I had to look both of those games up! I've made too many games!!)

@RSKGames

Overview: ''Pogo the Fridge'' is the Jumping platformer cousin of ''Squashly Boop''. This is a much harder game than the ''Squashly Boop''.

I tested this week's game on 3DS, last night, and it's all manner of slow, hitting 20 fps quite often for no apparent reason.

During level generation, I usually set walls/floors to "1", and then pad things out around those 1's. Yesterday, I struggled to figure out why enemy placements were so very few and far between, until I realised that I was randomising the floor tiles between 1 and 6. The enemies were only appearing atop the rare 1 floor tiles. *tsk* silly me.

Yesterday I got the majority of the Fridge elements into place. The fruit is squishable, the milk is drinkable, and the levels continue for a certain length, and then end abruptly.
