What I Didn't Do

I could definitely have made the maze more maze-like. As it is, every room connects to every other room.
The main issue was a lack of keys.
Initially I had preset treasure chests with keys or diamonds in them, but the player kept running out of keys.
Once I switched to "Defeated enemy spawn gems and keys" it all became much better. ... But I forgot to put the "maze" aspect back in.
D'oh!!
