NeonPlat Extreme : The Big Release
Blog
14th December 2013
NeonPlat Extreme sees most of the elements of the NeonPlat series of games, all cobbled together into one great big lump sum.
There's lots of fun little things to play around with, and for the most part it's the same single-screen platforming action you've come to expect. NeonPlat Extreme is now available on iOS, Android, OUYA and Windows! iOS : AppStore Android : Google Play OUYA Windows/HTML5 -=-=- FeaturesGameplay : Kick ass, fast and furious, retro, arcade-style, frantic, intense gameplay! Run around, jump and throw, defeat and be defeated!! Modes : Ranging from Classic to Gems, and more besides. Plenty to choose from. Bosses : Big evil bad guys that you need to smash to bits before you can capture them. Characters : 35 out of the 50 NeonPlat Adventures characters are all included. I rewrote them from scratch, and didn't even bother to look at how they used to move, so expect their movement styles to be slightly different to how they were in Adventures, but they all have their own set of rules, and should all appear to be moving in a marginally different manner!! GameCenter : The iOS Edition features full GameCenter integration, with over 40 badges to collect, and 9 separate highscore tables! Multiplayer : The OUYA and Windows editions feature multiplayer gameplay! Simply tap the jump button on another controller to join in with the action. Missing FeaturesNo Powerups : I thought long and hard about this, and given the multiplayer aspect, figured things might get a little quirky. If I come back to this game in future, I might rethink this decision and put them back in. No "Adventures" : Everything is single-screen only. We're talking strictly NeonPlat, here, not Adventures. I still loved Adventures, though, and will no doubt revisit it in the future, but .. not just yet! No Ladders : Only NeonPlat 1 ever had the ladders. I see no need to bring them back! No Targets : Only the old (now depreciated) iOS NeonPlat edition ever had the Targets. They were meant to be a kind of tutorial, but ended up confusing people.. We don't need those.. Bring on the Bats!!! iOS : AppStore Android : Google Play OUYA Windows/HTML5 Views 34, Upvotes 12
