Today's plan is to walk to the Meccano bridge.

Back in 2012, whilst I was in getting my head worked on, the local authority saw fit to replace one of the old broken, destroyed and dismantled bridges, near where the Canal was, in the village.

A beautiful bridge idea was dreamt up, whereupon giant mock-Meccano style pieces would be crafted, and the entire bridge built up using those, just as a child would've done, back in the day.

It's been over a decade, and I still haven't visited the bridge.
Today's task will be to attempt that. Me and Mum have readied ourselves, and the weather's been lovely of late, so .. I think this is it..

It's a fair walk, mind. The longest walk I've attempted since my whole medical drama, and .. if I'm honest, I might not get that far.
In-between us and the bridge is the village center, and if I find myself giving up, we can stop off and have a brew in the mini-market, and then come home instead.

But that's today's plan.
It's a lengthy one, but it's one that.. after a decade of not-doing it.. it's probably time to do it.
