So up I got, and since I was wide awake, I decided to add some vocals to this week's ALChoon, and then also finished off a video and popped it onto YouTube.
.. And then realised I'd forgot to trim the last 10 seconds of blank screen, so used the YouTube editor to trim it.
.. And then I waited for it to "process"...
.. And waited..
... And waited..

..And .... Then I went back to Apple Motion, trimmed it my bloomin' self, exported a new version, uploaded that, got it processed and ready to go, and was still waiting for the other one to process.

It sure would've been nice to be able to just tap a button for those lyrics, huh...?

So, that's what I tackled throughout most of yesterday.
I'm going to have to write a whole new Text Display routing to handle it, though, as it needs to be able to add blurring and swooping, as well as justifying text that isn't quite full yet..
By which I mean, if the line of text is "P to the A to the R to the A", but the lyrics have only reached the letter R, but you want the line justified to the middle of the screen and have each "word" appear one by one..
I'm going to have to pre-justify the position of the text, so everything flows properly.

Similarly if the word is "believe!", that's got two syllables, and if you're tapping the keyboard to make the words appear, you need a way to split the word up. I'm currently thinking of a backslash for that.. "be\lieve", and then when you tap it knows where to break the word.. But the display has to strip out the backslashes when displaying it.

I'm also considering "|" to split lines, so that if you want a chunk of lyrics to all show up in a block, you can split it up with the "|" and it'll display that way..



There really is an alarming amount of things to think about, here.
So far, I've got positions and justification working. But no effects, no colours, no rotations, no "In transition", no "out transition', no timings, no layering..
..
So, that's good, then, right!?

This really is becoming more troublesome than those gotos!!
...

Then I finally got back to sleep at 6am, and the Gas Men are apparently coming around early, this morning, so I'm wide awake again, waiting for them, and then...
.. Yep, back to bed for me.
